Shinny Kids

Coming in the near future, Shinny USA will offer an early morning program for kids between 12 and 15 years of age. This program will be offered during the first 6 weeks after school lets out for the summer, and is geared towards the child hockey player who is beyond the beginner level. While closely supervised off-ice, the Program allows your kids will enjoy summer hockey in a safe, friendly, and encouraging environment alongside their friends. While your kids are playing with their friend, you can play with the adults on another rink. Contact us if you're interested in enrolling your child in our ShinnyKids program.

Morning Shinny

The winter 2012 season for our Morning Shinny programs runs from New Year's Day straight through the end of the March, 2012. The schedule of days and locations is as follows:

Mondays:

• Ice Line (3 rinks – starts at 6AM)

• The Skatium (1 rink – starts at 6AM)

Tuesdays:

• Power Play (1 rink – starts at 5:45AM)

• Ice Works (1 rink – starts at 6AM)

• Center Ice (1 rink – starts at 6AM)

Wednesdays:

• Ice Line (4 rinks – starts at 6AM)

Thursdays:

• Ice Line (1 rink – starts at 6AM)

• Ice Works (1 rink – starts at 6AM)

• Hatfield Ice (1 rink – starts at 6AM)

Fridays:

• Ice Line (4 rinks – starts at 6AM)

• Center Ice (1 rink – starts at 6AM)

Saturdays:

• Skating Club of Wilmington (1 rink – starts at 7:15AM)

Sundays:

• Sorry, even Shinny-aholics need a day off!

Girls Shinny

The Shinny program just for girls! For six weeks this summer, Shinny USA will host a girls only morning shinny at Ice Line on Thursday mornings. The program is open to girls of all ages, and will start on Thursday June 23rd and run through and including Thursday July 28th. The program, which costs $70 for the season, is designed to provide girls the ability to play recreational ice hockey, free from drills, coaching and competition. Daddy & Me

THIS PROGRAM WILL RETURN IN THE SUMMER OF 2012.

Shinny USA's Daddy & Me program offers the opportunity for fathers (and Mothers too) with their young sons or daughters to play ice hockey in a friendly and casual, non-competitive environment. The program will run on Monday mornings for 5 weeks right after school lets out for summer vacation. Children aged 5-12 are permitted, however children up to age 15 may be allowed into the program if they are at the beginner level. No children may enroll without a parent of adult guardian. Full equipment is required for all participants.

The 2012 Daddy & Me program will run on Tuesday mornings at Ice Line in West Chester. The program will start on June 12th and will run for 12 weeks, ending on August 28th.

Friday Night Special

The Friday Night Special is Shinny USA's version of Poker Night! Instead of sitting around a table smoking cigars, get together with 60 of your closest friends for a night of food, fun and, of course, hockey! Each Friday Night Special is limited to the first 60 non goalies, and the first 4 goalies who sign up. Participation is on an individual basis - no teams may enter. Teams are assembled by Shinny USA management to make sure each team has an even blend of skill levels to be competitive against every other team. The evening consists of the four teams each comprised of 15 skaters and one goalie, each playing each of the other three teams in three consecutive fifty-minute games, Shinny style. If you're not familiar with "Shinny style," please see the Player Code of Conduct in our Resources section. There is no champion, we play for bragging rights only!
